Plan A Visit

Come as you are! We are very casual on Sundays. Some of us wear jeans and others wear khakis or shorts but most importantly wear whatever makes you feel the most comfortable. There is no dress code.

Groundswell Pastors and Staff work remotely and can be reached by calling and leaving a message on our main number - (905)-659-6683. Just let us know who you would like to speak with, and we will set that up for you.

For families sitting together we provide Kid’s Kits with stories, crafts, snacks and more. You can use a Kid’s Kit to help your child experience learning about God at their level, while being part of the larger gathering.

For younger children, or those who need a bit more space and want to interact other children, the Kid’s Corner (at the back of the worship area) is a special place for them. Kid’s Corner is supervised, and volunteers help children sing, learn, pray and interact with other children, just steps away from their parents.

Our church services begin at 10:00am and finish around 11:00am (approximately 60-75 minutes). There is a children’s program during the service, so if you’re coming as a family, you’ll want to arrive a few minutes early to check in your children through our Safe Kids Check In process and get them registered for The Groundswell Kids Program. Services begin by singing together, then our Pastor teaches for about 30-45 minutes, followed by a sharing and prayer time, moving into communion, and then closing our time together with songs and prayer.

Yes! The Community Rooms at Tansley Woods Community Centre are located on the ground level and the washrooms are wheelchair accessible.

Every Sunday we participate in Communion by breaking and eating bread as Christ's body given for us and drinking grape juice as the blood He shed for our sins.

The bread and juice are available to anyone who believes and proclaims Jesus to be their Lord and Saviour. You are more than welcome to participate in communion even if you belong to another church. At Groundswell Church we adhere to the Statement of Faith of the Christian & Missionary Alliance in Canada.

Go through the Tansley Community main doors and look for the Groundswell banner ahead and to the right at the end of the hallway. Walk towards the banner, and you will see double doors open and someone to welcome you.

You are welcome to sit anywhere you feel the most comfortable. There is no assigned seating so feel free to pick your seats when you arrive.

We are a growing church and normally have about 35-65 people of all ages regularly attending on Sunday mornings

No. We believe that supporting the work of the church is a privilege and visitors as not expected to contribute during services, and an offering plate is not passed. Should you want to donate, there is an offering box near the widows at the back of the room where you can leave a donation if you wish to, but you are never obligated to give. Most of our members give online or by cheque.

If you like to follow along in your Bible during the teaching time, bring it with you. If you need a Bible, we will gladly provide you with one. For everyone’s convenience, Bible references are visible during the teaching time on the projection screen. If you like to take notes, feel free to bring a pen and notepad.
