Ian Trigg joined Groundswell Church to talk about the truth and joy of the Incarnation, theology, and the truth about Importance of the Virgin Mary in the resurrection this advent season. The two miracles (virgin birth and resurrection) fulfilled everything that we need as humans.
Advent is about waiting patiently and being hopeful waiting for the presence of Christ. Psalms are a collection of ancient songs dedicated to worshipping God with hope and confidence.
In Luke 1 verse 35 the angel answered Mary when asked how she could be pregnant, said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the son of God.
Because the Virgin Mary was obedient to the calling of God and allowed God to come as an infant through her the original great miracle was possible. When Mary’s life was completely flipped upside down her response in scripture was that she was a servant of God.
This is the response that God calls each of us to have when he calls us in similar fashions, calling ourselves out of our comfort zones. Ian Trigg challenges us to seek joy through scripture and the stories he shared to be the best version of disciples of Christ.
The Bible Isn’t good advice it is the good news that launches us to respond with a servant’s heart and the Virgin Mary plays a huge role in showing us the example of devotion that God wants from each one of us. We must continue to respond, and listen for what God is telling us to do.
